
MASTER CHIEF ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN
(SURFACE WARFARE/AVIATION WARFARE) MATTHEW F. ANUCI
Master Chief Anuci is from Miami, Florida and joined the Navy in January 1993. He attended boot-camp at Recruit Training Command Orlando. After completing Electronics Technician “A” and “C” schools he reported to the Operations Department of the USS L.Y. Spear in Norfolk, Virginia in January 1995. After its’ de-commissioning he reported to the USS Simon Lake in La Madellena, Italy in October 1996 and served in the 67H submarine antenna repair shop. During his tour, he was promoted to Second Class Petty Officer and earned his Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist designation.
In May 1999 he transferred to Navy Recruiting District Miami. While there he distinguished himself with multiple personal, district, and national awards for recruiting excellence and was advanced to First Class Petty Officer under the Recruiter Advancement Incentive Program.
In August 2002 he reported to BUPERS SDC Dallas, a critical CAT 1A CNO special project unit. During his tour he led the Ground Electronics Division and was the Manpower Manager. He was selected to Chief Petty Officer in 2003.
In June 2005 he reported to the USS Reuben James in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Onboard he served as Combat Systems Department Leading Chief Petty Officer, Combat Systems Training Team Technical Leader, and Command Fitness Leader. He was promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer in May 2007.
Following RDC School, he reported to OTCN in June 2008 where he served as Lead RDC until October 2010. He currently serves as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader. He graduated from Excelsior College with a Bachelor of Science degree in History in March 2010.
Master Chief Anuci’s decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy Achievement Medal (four awards), the Navy Good Conduct Medal (five awards), and various campaign awards and unit citations.
