JEREMY DUEHRING, COMMANDER, USN
CDR Jeremy L. Duehring received his Bachelor’s of Science in mathematics with minors in physics and secondary education from Michigan State University in 1998. He was commissioned through direct appointment and received his officer training at NETC, Newport, RI.
Upon graduation from Officer Indoctrination School, CDR Duehring reported for instructor duty at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC). While assigned to NNPTC, CDR Duehring taught Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow Dynamics, Reactor Principles, Chemistry, Material Science and Radiological Fundamentals. In addition to his instructor duties, he served as a Course Director and curriculum developer for the Officer Nuclear Power School program.
CDR Duehring became a member of the Navy’s Human Resource Community at its inception in 2001 and was assigned to be the Enlisted Programs department head for Navy Recruiting District San Francisco, where he earned 10 Gold Wreath Awards for recruiting excellence.
In 2006, CDR Duehring attended Naval Postgraduate School, where he received his Master’s of Science in Human Systems Integration. In February of 2008, he reported as the Officer in Charge of Personnel Support Detachment Balboa at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. In March 2010, CDR Duehring assumed command of the Military Entrance Processing Station Oklahoma City. In June 2013, CDR Duehring assumed the duties of Executive Officer, Officer Training Command Newport, RI.
CDR Duehring’s personal awards include Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards) and various service medals and ribbons. He is also credentialed as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) as well as designated as a Master Training Specialist and Naval Parachutist.
